Volvo Dynamic Steering

Together with the Volvo Dynamic Steering engineering team, I lead a small team developing a VR driving simulator showcasing the unique benefits of the VDS steering assist system. 

The VR simulator hardware rig uses a real VDS equipped steering column that communicate through a custom Arduino interface with the VR driving physics engine. Combined with a powerful custom designed force feedback unit, visitors can enjoy a 1:1 simulated experience of driving a bus with and without VDS enabled.

This VR experience is touring the world as a centrepiece of the Volvo Buses trade show stand since 2016.
